12nd August 

Participation for the first time in the EUSKAL JAIA (Basque Festival)  in Hendaye.

19th August 

Participation in  the parade of "La Fête des Fleurs" ( Festival of the flowers)  in the French town of Bagnères de Bigorre.

1st September 

The group was present at the arrival of the sailing race LE FIGARO, entertaining at the price  presentation. In 2001 the race started in La Rochelle and ended up in Hendaye (1.744 miles).

8th September

The group was present in the annual meeting of the cultural associations of the town of Hendaye, called "Forum des Associations".

14th October

TXINGUDI EGUNA – The day of the bay of Txingudi. The annual Marmitako (cod dish) contest was held in Hendaye this year, and the group MUTXIKO was entertaining the celebration during the preparation of the marmitako.

2002

2nd February 

ZIBURUKO IHAUTERIA – CIBOURE Carnival

The group paraded in the streets of the town. Ciboure is a neighbouring town of Hendaye.

24th February 

The music band LEINUA from St Pierre d’Irube presented  the album «ANABAN » dedicated to  FAUSTIN BENTABERRY. The group animated by dancing MUTXIKOAK. 

23rd May

The group took part in the French-Indian party organised by « Perspectives Asiennes » ( Asian Prespectives) in the Maison pour Tous (house for all) in ANGLET, a village near Hendaye.

1-2-3 June

A cooperation contract was made between the towns of  PERIGORD and HENDAYE aimed to carry out cultural interchanges. A meeting was celebrated in Hendaye ( centre de vacances d' OURISTY ) among the dignitaries of the Périgord, Marie-Hélène BORAS  and Luce PUJOLE and the dignitaries of Hendaye, the mayor and the culture assistant Madame Marie-Carmen NAZABAL. The group participated in the meeting.

8-9-10 July 

The group was hosting for 4 days 40 members of the Breton group "Cercle Val d’Oust de Saint-Caradec" formed by dancers, singers and musicians.

Two performances were held, one in «XOLDO»,  the pelota court of the neighbouring town of BIRIATOU and another one in SOURAIDE, a village nearby,  with the group ALAIKI.

« Fête de La Mer » - Festival of the Sea. The group danced Mutxikoak at "Port de la Floride" in Hendaye. 

11th August 

Participation in the parade of the EUSKAL JAIA (Basque Festival)  in Hendaye.
