MUTXIKO ELKARTEA is a group of traditional basque dancers and musicians. The group was created in April 1996 in the town of Hendaia (in the French Basque Country). Since then, the group has been invited to important Folklore Festivals in many French provinces and abroad, to countries such us Portugal, Argentina, Scotland, Spain, Hungary, Czech Republic, Macedonia or the Boise Jaialdi in the United States.
The aim of the group is studying, teaching, practising and spreading traditional Basque dances and music.
The group is a member of Euskal Dantzarien Biltzarra, the Basque dancers’ group association.
